Eight (8) is the number of success. This is a good day to analyze just what your own personal definition of success is. Have you attained it yet? Is your standard approachable or have you put it beyond your reach. Is it even still relevant to your current dreams and desires. This might be a good time to answer these hard questions. There is absolutely nothing wrong with changing directions if you find your heart leading you toward new interests. Course corrections are a natural part of exploration.

Although it is the beginning of the weekend, the natural tendency of a 7 day is to seek quiet and some alone time to think. Of course, you can have a great, fun weekend with lots of activities and people, but it might be a good idea to build in some of that needed quiet time, too. Read a little, take a walk, spend a few minutes meditating, work a crossword puzzle or anything else that satisfies that mental aspect of you. Then go play all you want.

Life means little without good relationships to sustain us. Today, the six (6) is compelling you to nurture your relationships...of all kinds. Look at your most important ones to see where they might need bolstering or mending. Start with your relationship with yourself. Do you treat yourself as well as you treat everyone else? What about your relationship with the Divine? Do you have intimate conversations with God, daily? Are you giving your spouse, children, friends and co-workers your full attention, and asking for the same in return? Are you an equal partner in these relationships? Pinpoint the one/s that needs the most work and put your focus there today.

If things happen that upset you, you can wallow in the upset or choose a response more appropriate to your well being. You can consider the source and not take it personally. You can apply the salve of forgiveness to the person or situation. You can simply choose to extract yourself by changing the subject or actually leaving. You can be grateful for the contrast you see and the clarity you have gained about what you do and don't want in your life.

Play brain games, solve a puzzle, memorize something or recite something previously memorized, do some math without a calculator. Do things today that keep your mind busy, so that it doesn't create problems for you to solve. Enjoy the power of the mind and what you can do with it. Remember that the seven (7) energy also enhances your intuition. This may come in very handy before the day is done.

The more you do this, the more often you will be right. You may also find that when you think of someone, they will call you or you will see them right away. This is an excellent day for an outing with friends or family. The five (5) loves to travel and is always seeking change. It almost feels like Fall already, so get out and enjoy some part of your city that you have never been to before. Take a new road, eat at a new restaurant and you will feel like you have had a mini-vacation. It will refresh you and satisfy that need for change.

This is a great day to get out and work hard in the yard, or where ever you can think of to work up a good sweat. Your body wants to move and your mind wants to organize, so get busy and make a difference in your surroundings today. Of course, you could just exercise for exercise sake, but it would be nice to be able to check a few things off that to-do list.

Life is always bringing you new things to evaluate, to see if they fit your desired life style or not. If something you don't like falls in your lap, just say, "Thank you, God, but this isn't quite what I ordered, so I'd like to send it back, please." Just because it came to you doesn't mean you have to keep it. Be thankful for the awareness you gained from it and then release it, turn away, look in a new direction. If you don't spend time fretting about it, you will be amazed at how quickly it will vanish, leaving room for something you DO want.

Say what you mean and mean what you say. You have heard that a million times and today the three (3) is reminding you how important honest communication is. Your words have power and need to be spoken consciously. Think first, then speak. Words are creative, so keep them positive. Avoid words of criticism for they will come back to bite you.

If you feel that you are lacking love in your life, the problem probably starts with the way you think of yourself. Do you speak to or about yourself like you would speak to someone you love? Are you self-critical or self-deprecating? Do you see your flaws rather than your assets? Do you love who you see in the mirror? If not, how do you expect someone else to love you? Change the way you see yourself, the way you talk to and about yourself, and soon you will notice that love is no longer lacking in your life. Love and honor yourself and the world will love and honor you in return.

If you will be still and quiet and breathe deeply, you will discover your inner mind. This is a good place to start your day. You will notice that your intuition is very strong, your mind is clear and wants to be active and you can practically feel your connection to Spirit. You take on the role of peacemaker and wind up paying a lot of attention to clutter and its eradication. Ultimately, it should be a soft and gentle, thoughtful day.

You are born with a very efficient guidance system, somewhat like your GPS. You tell it where you want to go and it will lead you there. This is a no-fail system. Unfortunately, those people who are trying to take care of you in your infancy and early youth feel that they have to be your guidance and give you commands which subvert your own inner system. You soon forget to listen to your inner voice and rely on the wisdom (?) of others. The sooner you re-learn how to listen to your own guidance, the sooner you get to make decisions that are more in alignment with your Highest Good.

Being true to your word is not always an easy thing to do, but if you find that you are having difficulty in staying the course, perhaps it is time for you to open up to a new concept. Life is an ongoing lesson in spiritual development. You have Divine permission to change your mind as you grow. You are exploring this world and as you learn more and more about it, you will grow your philosophy of life. What fits you today may not fit at all tomorrow. That doesn't mean that today's fit is wrong. It may be perfect from your NOW perspective but it will change many times as you go through life. This is a good thing.

Although this is a very social holiday, today is governed by the number seven (7) which is very internal, intellectual, introspective and intuitive. Do your best not to over analyze everything you see or do today. This is a good weekend to grab that novel you have been wanting to read and take it poolside or under the shade of a tree. Summer reading is a time honored activity, so make the most of it and enjoy yourself. Relaxation is a good thing.
